Craftspeople with skills in Jewellery, Knitting, Furniture, Basketry or Millinery are being sought for a new television series. Big Mountain Productions in conjunction with the Crafts Council of Ireland have begun production on a second series of ‘Craft Master’, the BAI co-funded series for RTÉ television.
The hugely successful series presented by Sonya Lennon, showcases the very best in up and coming Irish craft makers.
The new series is looking for individuals who have foundations skills in Basketry, Millinery, Knitting, Furniture or Jewellery, and who want to bring their craft to the next level using a mixture of traditional and contemporary skills acquired on a residential Master Class with a top maker in their discipline.
So, are you the next Linda O’Brien or Rita Daly? The Amateur Apprentices will compete for a stand at Showcase – Ireland’s Creative Expo run annually by the Crafts Council of Ireland, which generates over €20 million worth of sales orders over the 4 days of the event.
The closing date for applications is June 6.
