President of the Midlands Gateway Chamber Paul O’Reilly, Ray Byrne Vice President and Angela Rigney Administration and Operations Officer met Marty Whelan, Master of Ceremonies for the awards ceremony, to finalise details for the gala night taking place in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Friday May 20, at 7.15pm.

The President of the Midlands Gateway Chamber, Paul O’Reilly this week said “Ticket sales for the awards gala ceremony are going well and the event promises to be an evening where the business community from the entire region can mix, network and celebrate the achievements of all the award winners on the night.” Paul added that despite the current recession there is a tremendous level of interest in nominations for the different award categories.

“Nominations have now closed and remarkably, early indications suggest that there is twice the amount of nominations in the Emerging New Business Category than any other category and this is tremendous to see as it reflects positively on the entrepreneurial spirit obviously alive in the Midlands.”

Angela Rigney, Operations Officer, said, “Tickets are on sale now and cost €75. Please contact Midlands Gateway Chamber on 0863891675 or contact your local chamber to purchase tickets.

“This event is not just for corporate businesses, it is an ideal opportunity for small business and individual business owners to attend the evening because there will be rich networking opportunities to mix with similarly minded business entrepreneurs.” Angela added that tickets are normally sold in blocks of ten to suit table sizes but that individuals or small groups can contact her and she will ensure that all people are accommodated so as to maximize networking opportunities.
