BUSINESSES from all over Offaly and Westmeath are invited to participate at the Business-to-Business Networking event which will be held in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Thursday September 15.

Following on from the success of the last year’s event Offaly and Westmeath County Enterprise Boards are organising the event again this year, in conjunction with Athlone, Tullamore and District, Mullingar and the Midlands Gateway Chambers.

Any business which is involved in supplying goods and services to other businesses should not miss this opportunity to meet potential new customers. The event is designed as a fast and informative way to make new business contacts and broaden your business network.

Speaking at the launch of the event Tracey Tallon Business Advisor with Westmeath County Enterprise Board explained that “87% of businesses use word of mouth as their main marketing tool, this year we want to motivate people to use referral networking as a long term tool to build business relationships. In the present economic situation, networking is a cost effective method that more and more businesses are turning to in an effort to expand and even maintain their business.

“These days, it is great to see that so many Business Professionals have embraced the idea of marketing themselves and their businesses through Networking. Word-Of-Mouth Marketing IS the most cost-effective way to grow your business.”

At the event last year, over 80 small business owners from all over the midlands came together to network and this year the event promises to be even bigger and better.

This year the organisers have secured the services of Paul Laird from the Referral Institute who has facilitated and been a key note speaker at networking events for among others The Sunday Business Post, Charted Accountants of Ireland, PIBA, and George Lee’S Business Show on RTE Radio.

The event will be held in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Mullingar from 9.30am to 12.45pm, with registration at 8.45am and the booking fee is just €20 per person.
