The Vendors were the Executors of the Estate of the late William Patrick Walshe.

Matt Dunne describes the farm as “c.75-85 acres of Park Land ie excellent arable land with magnificent mature trees” etc.

The remaining c.25 acres requires reclamation.

The property also consists of a large modern house with a double garage. The house includes a Drawing room, Dining room, Family room, Kitchen, four Bedrooms, two Bathrooms, Double garage, Store shed and a number of farm buildings. The property is centrally located in the heart of farming country and is close to the borders of Kildare, Meath and Westmeath.

Over 30 people attended the auction and the bidding opened at €500,000.

Three parties contested up to €600,000.

The two remaining parties fought it out until the hammer dropped at €750,000.

The under bidder with connections in the area had just flown in from Bahrain and was disappointed he did not succeed.

The buyer, Mr Sammy Wright, is a farmer from the area and he was delighted with his purchase!
