An Offaly entrepreneur today launched a new Travel App for Smart Phones. The App, which has been developed for the iPhone market and will be available soon to Android users will solve a number of common problems travelers experience with their Passports.
Photographer and Designer Finn Mooney created the App initially as a solution to a problem he often faced himself; lost and expired passports. Soon realising this to be a very widespread problem throughout the Irish community, he then developed the App further and has now made it available to Smart Phone users.
The Passport Minder App will remind you on several occasions when your passport is due to expire, so you never miss that vacation or work trip. In addition to this it allows you to geo-tag your passports location so you can easily find it when you just can’t remember where you left it. The App also allows you to take an image of your passports location so you can easily recall its location and save hours of searching. The Passport Minder App allows you to store all your family’s passport details in one easy location, allowing you enjoy your vacation.
Finn commented, “I’ve seen it for years, friends and family turning up at airports for that annual get away, only to realise at the last minute that one of the groups passport is out of date. Then the mad rush to the passport office for a temporary document! The Passport Minder App brings an end to the panic, providing the business & leisure traveller with piece of mind.”
The problem is not a new one, with hundreds of people attending Passport offices around the country in search of emergency passports and many more missing out on family holidays and work trips.
The Passport Minder solves all these problems and more in one easy App, which is available to download from the ITunes App Store. The app will soon be available to android marketplace users also.
