One of the most significant exhibitions in Offaly in some time, Artists on Architecture, part of Offaly’s Engage with Architecture programme and curated by Oonagh Young opens tonight (Wednesday, February 20) in Birr Theatre at 7pm.
The exhibition is dual located between Birr Theatre and Arts Centre and Aras an Chontae, Tullamore and features nationally renowned artists such as Karl Burke, Felicity Clear and Maggie Madden alongside local artists, Jackie Lynch, Emma Barone, Aileen Kavanagh and Niall Sweeney.
All together 27 artists are exhibiting works, which have been inspired by architecture, or aspects of architectural practice, recognizing the value of the artists interpretation of the built world.
