Tullamore Musical Society is back with a bang this New Year and are making the final preparation for their 58th annual production.
‘Annie Get Your Gun’ will run from January 14 to January 19 in the Tullamore Court Hotel. The Box Office opened last Saturday at 11am in the Bridge Centre in Tullamore and tickets are on sale each day. Doors open each day at 7.30pm with overture at 8pm.
‘Annie Get Your Gun’ is a musical comedy loosely based on the life of the great sharpshooter, Annie Oakley, who rises to fame while dealing with her love/professional rival, Frank Butler.
Music and lyrics are by Irving Berlin based on the book by Herbert & Dorothy Fields.
This production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd on behalf of R&H Theatricals of New York. Songs that became hits include, ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’, ‘Doin’ What Comes Natur’lly’, ‘You Can’t Get a Man with a Gun’, and ‘Anything You Can Do’.
The cast for the show features Amanda Cunningham as Annie Oakley, Stephen Rabbette as Frank Butler, Natalee Kelly as Dolly Tate, Eoghan Fingleton as Charlie Davenport, Frank Nicolson as Col Buffalo Bill, Nigel Sammon as Chief Sitting Bull, Alan Conroy as Pawnee Bill, John Conroy as Mac.
Annie’s siblings include Ciara Coughlin as Minnie, Ciana Luskin as Jessie, Sophia Sheil as Nellie, Kenny Heffernan as Little Jake and also the wonderful cast and chorus of TMS.
The show is directed by Damien Douglas, Musical Director is Enda O’Connor with choreography by Laura Martin.
