Tullamore Amateur Dramatic Society (TADS) recently held successful auditions for the One Act plays it plans to stage later in May.
Denise Keoghan (Chairperson) was delighted to see such a great turn out of enthusiastic actors willing to take to the stage. The plays, which are a mixture of original monologues and scripted one acts, are to be staged at TADS’ usual venue upstairs in Hugh Lynchs at the end of May. The plays are as follows:
Cocaine by Pendleton King; He Said, She Said by Alice Gerstenberg; The Secret Origin of Mojo (Wo)man by Walter Wykes; Cancer by Marguerite Cahill; Monologue by Chris Murphy.
Watch this space also for a competition TADS is due to run, in conjunction with the Canal Quarter Festival in August. After the successful showcase of original one act plays held last year, TADS is this year looking for budding, local playwrights to script new plays to be staged at a later date. Keep an eagle eye on Facebook and in the local paper for details.
