Underwater Dream in Birr Arts Centre

‘UNDERWATER Dream’ a collection of new paintings by contemporary artist Emma Barone will be exhibited in Birr Theatre and Arts Centre until September 14.

Emma says of this collection of work: “The physical action of being underwater transports me to a different dimension where the internal sensation and field of vision can only be expressed through the process of art. I can then capture these sensations through my work. Emotions such as happiness, exhilaration, breathlessness, fear, floating, flying is evident throughout”.

Emma Barone was born in County Offaly and has been drawing and painting since she was old enough to hold pencils and brushes. Her love of art and life emerges from the work she produces. Educated in the arts over the years has not swayed her vision, style and direction, only enhanced her ability to convey feelings of subjects rendered.
