LOCAL publicans and Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre board members, including Cllr Declan Harvey, were welcomed by Chairman Mr Tadhg O'Brien to taste the Tullamore Dew 10 year old Single Malt Whiskey in the Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre on Wednesday last.
The Tullamore Dew Single malt whiskey is the latest edition to the Tullamore Dew range by C&C International. It is aged in a variety of bourbon, sherry, Madeira and port casks and is described as having "intense malty, fruity and toasted wood aroma... with a hint of sherry Christmas cake".

C&C International increased its sales worldwide by a quarter last year. "At the same time as building the standard blend to over 600,000 cases, we have been working towards a complete line-up of ages, flavour and qualities to meet growing customer demand for Irish whiskey experiences," said Tullamore Dew brand manager Mr Muiris O'Riada.

Ms Nora McNulty manager for the Irish Mist brand introduced to the group, a delicious mix of Irish Mist, with coke and a squeeze of lime. A refreshing combination which went down very well with the guests.

Louise O'Brien spoiled everyone with deliciously prepared savoury foods and homemade pastries in the Tea Room.
The introduction of the 10 year Old single Malt is a very prestigious addition to the Tullamore Dew's range: Standard, 10 YO Reserve, 12 YO Special Reserve and Tullamore Dew Heritage.

The full Tullamore Dew & Irish Mist range is only available in the Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre, Bury Quay Tullamore, and Tel: 057 93 25015.
