Tullamore Garden Club

Tullamore Garden Club are travelling to Wexford on Wednesday, June 30. In the morning we will visit Kilmurry Nursery Garden followed by lunch in Bunclody. The afternoon takes us to Sliabh Radharc Garden in Bunclody. Bus leaves O'Connor Sq at 9am sharp. Enquiries to Eileen at 057 93 52312.

Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Fr Lorenzo wishes to announce there are a few seats left for the Lourdes Pilgrimage from July 28 to August 4. GROW

Grow is a uniquely structured Community Mental Health Movement. It is anonymous, non-denominational and open to all. Groups are run by its own members with the support of fieldworker / sponsor, are held weekly and last two hours. If you are someone who suffers from depression, shyness and anxiety, panic attacks, then come along to our Thursday Group meeting at 3pm in the GROW Office, Bolger House, Patrick Street, Tullamore. Midland Cardiac Support Group

The group has a weekly walk every Wednesday at 8pm. Meet at GAA Club. However on June 23 there will be a walk in Boora Parklands starting at the car park at 8pm.

Fianna Fail at the races

The Fianna Fil Organisation in the Tullamore electoral area recently held a successful a fundraising Race Night in Maunsell's Lounge and Bar. Philip Baker's commentary made punters think that every race was the Cheltenham Gold Cup and that they were watching it from the stands. Sean Maunsell, Shane Murray and all the staff in Maunsells provided a 5 star service which added to the occasion. The organisers of the event would like to thank everybody who bought horses for the event, all sponsors and everyone who supported it on the night.

U-12 football: The U12 footballers play Rhode this week in the championship.

U-12 Hurling: Tullamore played Kinnitty last week and started the better team but the opposition stepped up a gear and in the end pulled away to win. Tullamore's v Ferbane/Belmont on Friday at 7.30 pm.

U-14 Football: The under 14 team play Kilcormac/Killoughey on Monday next at 7pm in O Brien Park.

U-14 Hurling: Tullamore 4-8 Shinrone 2-6. Tullamore v Birr at 7pm tonight (Wednesday) in Tullamore.

U-16: Training resumes this week for the under 16 team following the Junior Cert exams. Training on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.30pm. Training also resumes for the under 16 hurlers this week.

U-12 Girls Football: Hard luck to the under 12 team whom were beaten by Ferbane in the county final in Tubber last Saturday.

Car Park: Thanks to all club members who helped out with car park and steward duties for the Meath v Laois game last Saturday evening.
