Ordination Congratulations to Joe Campbell from Rosemount who was ordained to the priesthood in Rosemount on Sunday last. This was the first ordination to take place in Rosemount church in over seventy years, and we wish Fr Joe the best of luck as he starts out in his ministry.

Cat and Bag Golf Society

We played Trim Golf Course on Saturday last and we had 39 players teeing off for this outing, the conditions were tropical and were ideal for some very good scoring. JJ Colgan was the winner on Saturday with 44 points while Tommy Colgan took the runner up spot. Other prizewinners were Category 1 Steven Coughlan, Category 2 Lorcan Allen, Category 3 Declan Fox, the ladies prize went to Betty Buckley, the back nine was won by Joe Martin, and the front nine by Sinead Healy. We had three winners in the 'two's club', Mick Mc Loughlin, Joe Martin and Mary Allen. Next we are off to Portumna on July 17 and theres plenty of time to practice for that.

Tubber GAA Club

Div 1 FL: Tullamore 0-13 Tubber 0-9: We played Tullamore in the league semi-final in Clara on Friday night and even though we were beaten by five points we acquitted ourselves well. In the first half we didn't play very well and let Tullamore get a ten points to four lead on us which left us with a huge hill to climb in the second half. We did work hard in the second half and kept Tullamore down to three points, and if we could get our passing right things would have been a little closer on the night.
