Rural Transport West and South Offaly Rural Transport Programme (in the Mucklagh Area) are now running a weekly Friday bus service bringing people to Birr and if you live in the Rahan area there is a Tuesday weekly bus service bringing people to Tullamore. Ladies Football
Congratulations to the Shamrocks under 12 girls who gave a great display of football in Tubber on Saturday last. Shamrocks were clear winners over St Vincent's 2-5 to 0-3. Well done to the girls and mentors and all who work behind the scenes in Shamrocks Ladies Football.
Walk Through Charleville: Shamrocks Ladies are having their annual walk on Sunday, June 27, and are looking for your support. This is a lovely walk which starts at Mucklagh GAA and continues through the woods in Charleville and return to the GAA for light refreshments. It is a great family day out. €5 entry fee and n10 per family or you can get sponsorship cards from Secretary Anne Daly. All proceeds go to Shamrocks Ladies Football.
Community Alert Rahan
There will be a Community Alert meeting in Rahan Hall on Wednesday, June 23, at 9pm. There will be a talk by the Gardai on how to protect yourself and your homes.

Lourdes walk
The annual Lourdes walk take on Sunday, July 4, after 10.30am Mass. All funds raised goes to Lourdes Invalid Fund.
Shamrocks GAA Club
Pitch Advertising: We are presently asking any business that is interested in advertising around Mucklagh Pitch and Stand to get in touch with the Chairman – Denis Condron or the Secretary – John Mollin. This is a very cheap and effective form of advertising.
Offaly v Galway: Well done to the Offaly senior hurlers and management on a terrific display on Sunday last in Croke Park. Best of luck this Saturday night in the replay. A speedy recovery is extended to Derek Molloy who had to go off injured at half time.
Junior Football: The junior footballers take on Ballinagar in Mucklagh this evening Wednesday at 7.30pm.
Exams: Congratulations to all students who have completed their exams in the past two weeks. Best of luck to those who are travelling or intending to travel over the coming months.
Hurling Skills Leaderboard: Padraig Cantwell was top scorer with 35 points in last week's U 10 Hurling Skills and jumped from fourth place to second as a result. Raymond Larkin and Johnny Minnock moved into the top five but Tony Hennessy still leads the way. Young Eoghan Buckley has come on in leaps and bounds and took last week's 'Most improved Player' cert.
There are still three weeks to practice for the "Colin Dunne" Hurling Skills Competition. Shooting, long puck, free taking, sideline cuts will all feature. The trophies, kindly sponsored by the Dunne family, Roscore.
The under 10 hurlers went down heavily to a strong Drumcullen outfit on Saturday but all 23 players were given a chance to shine.
Next up will be Kilcormac-Killoughey on Leinster Final weekend. All roads lead to Rahan on Friday evening for the U-12s crucial championship fixture v Drumcullen.
