ALL the pupils from Junior Infants up to Third Class in Scoil Bhríde PS, Edenderry are participating in the Shared Reading Initiative. The older pupils read different books to the younger pupils and they discuss what the book is about and their favourite parts. Shared reading is a fun way to encourage reading enjoyment and to foster a love of books.

This is a busy time of the year for Scoil Bhríde PS. All of the teachers at Scoil Bhríde PS took part in an In-service Training Day on Tuesday, December 6 given by a Regional Advisor from the Professional Development Service for Teachers.

The school’s annual Christmas Carol Singing will take place in Dunnes Stores in Edenderry on Wednesday, December 21 commencing at 11am and finishing at 12.30pm. All support would be greatly appreciated. This year the funding is for Scoil Bhríde Primary School.

The annual Carol Singing in Edenderry will take place in St Mary’s Church on Thursday, December 15 at 7pm and the children from Scoil Bhride PS will be singing a new carol called Hush There’s a Baby.

Some of the children from Scoil Bhríde PS will be carol singing in Ofalia House on Wednesday, December 14. All the children are going on a Christmas Outing next week. The children in the ASD Units will be visiting Glendeer Farm for a Christmas treat and Junior Infants up to Third Class are going to see Aladdin in the Helix.

The school’s Christmas Concert will take place this Thursday, December 15. The show promises to be a memorable one for all who can attend.

Santa is also visiting all the children at Scoil Bhríde PS on Friday, December 16. Ho Ho Ho!
